Seat Belt beep ON problem (GrandePunto)

Post by PuntoMobil199 »

Hi,

today I tried to switch off and on the seat belt Alarm on my GP, but the beep did not come back. I testet the Instrument Panel "beep" and the beep accured but did not stop until switched ignition off. MES gives an error message. ("problem with switching beep" or similar)

Is the Seat Belt warning lamp effected by switching on or off the Alarm? I always get the Lamp when unbuckled.

My instrument Panel is:

Instrument Panel Marelli
ISO Code: 32 83 20 04 AE

I use MES 1.0

Thanks for your help,

Ups, sorry, I forgot that the beep occurs from a speed more than 20Km/h (and it did)

But the error message when "beeping" from MES keeps staying (beep didnt shut up until ignition off after the test)

Thx,

You can turn the seatbelt alarm back on from the on-board computer menu.

That function allow you to deactivate the buzzer not the light on dashboard, so yes if you drive with seatbelt unplugged you see the light but not hear the beep sound.
