Hi
I am a registered user and want to know if I can use ECUSCAN to reset the message and flashing oil warning light on a 2.0 Bravo Multijet 164
Oil Degradation Reset
Re: Oil Degradation Reset
Well did you try / look?
Connect to engine ECU and open the Adjustments tab. Top of list is "Oil Change"

That's my problem I think. I can connect to the service but not to the Engine ECU. Its a 2010 vehicle so maybe the software not recognising the ECU yet
Re: Oil Degradation Reset
Ok, undertstand
If you do a SCAN (F11) you should get a report back of the modules and ISO codes. Post the ECU ISO code back to this thread.
Post back ECU ISO coade Yani will be able to give you a definitive response regarding support. Or you could just post to the Requests thread for support for your ECU.

Re: Oil Degradation Reset
Thanks, will do that as soon as my customer returns his car, he needed it for work today!!! I did a scan when I serviced the car and pressed the red post button if that helps but I will need to make sure, for my benefit, I know the ISO of the engine ECU.s130 wrote:Ok, undertstand

Re: Oil Degradation Reset
Before your customer brings his car back you can do a "Test Connection" in MultiECUScan.
Select Car
Select ECU
Press CTRL key and then select CONNECT.
You will get a valid ECU ISO code but just carry on connecting with the YES option.
Now look at the Actuators Tab. Hopefully you will see the "Oil Reset".
This is what I did for you before posting.
A great simple way to find out for any make/model to see what is supported.

Yep, did this and I see clearly. The oil reset is in the adjustments tab. Thanks for this support.

Fiat Bravo 2.0 multijet 165 sport
I have the car in the workshop now and have done a scan for available modules by pressing F11 and it does not produce any results. so I can't forward the ISO of the ecu.
Looks like I am going to have to pass this one onto the main dealer as I can only turn out the service spanner.....

Re: Oil Degradation Reset
ECU is probably better suppoted with a KKL cable/interface.
Have you tried KKL, i.e. not ELM/CAN?

Re: Oil Degradation Reset
The ECU is EDC16C39 CF5 (even in 2010 Bravos). If you cannot connect then try with different interface. It doesn't need any modification as the engine ECU is on pin 7.
Sometimes people cannot connect to engine because of bad earth, power supply or loose connector. However, it is always recommended to try with another interface before blaming the car.
