HELP, Novice

Hi, new to the forum. I have a 2013 Fiat Ducato 2.3JTD 130 Multijet, with a Selespeed/gearbox issue and need to diagnose the issue. Can anyone help me with what the most appropriate hardware would be. I'll get the full cable kit but what ELM 327 link is best without needing to re-mortgage the house. I bled the clutch without the Fiat Examiner Smart (obviously) attached so I think I need to reset the ECU ?

Welcome

Please look at the recommended distributors listed here: http://www.multiecuscan.net/Distributors.aspx

With these distributors you will get interfaces (especially ELM) that actually work with MES. They will also help / advise if required.

Personally I would go with and OBDLink SX as opposed to ELM. OBDLink SX support more protocols and is firmware updateable.

For garages out there that use MES the OBDLink SX now supports the "Passthrough" protocol so any software compatible with it that has passthrough capabilities should work if you have the relevant manufacturer's passthrough account.

I would get an Cantiecar dongle with multiplexed MES, no need for adapters and it works every time

From forum chat it seems the dongle isn’t as reliable as the USB connection though and I want whatever I invest in to be solid
