the help on ENGINE ECU states: indicates whether the injection control unit has been programmed

NUMBER OF PROGRAMMINGS :the number of times the unit has been programmed

Does the van come from factory with NUMBER OF PROGRAMMINGS =0 or 1.
or to put it another way if NUMBER OF PROGRAMMINGS=2 has the ECU had 1 or 2 updates.

at least on other models I've seen it to be 0 or 1 for new cars. can't remember now if I've seen higher number on completely new cars.

So not definitive then. I have 2 programmings and i know one was one with a service in 2019.
I was wanting to know if the dealer had programmed it in 2018 (1st registered) when a number of recalls were done, or was it as it left the factory Nov 2016.

you can always try asking dealer.
