Good afternoon,
I am from Italy, and recently bought and activated an USA key with remote start and panic buttons.
I successfully activated the remote start (see here: http://forum.multiecuscan.net/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=8315&p=24157#p24157 ) and, by reading instruction on the USA owner manual, I see that the Panic Mode should be something similar to activate.
There should be a setting in the proxy that permits its functionality, as like as changing proxy byte 108 from 06 to 07 will enable the remote start (if you have the relative button on the key).

Does anyone know which is this byte and how it should be set in order to have the key "Panic" button enabled and working?

try and report:
set your byte 126 from "00" to "80"

it that doesn't work try also set byte 59 from "59" to "5A"

So, as suggested by someone in the USA Giuliaforums I tried to put byte 126 from 00 to A0 and it didn't work.
Another guy wrote that A0 also disable the disables front wipers after-wipe function.

0xxxxxxx - panic disabled
1xxxxxxx - panic enabled

xx0xxxxx - after-wipe enabled
xx1xxxxx - after wipe disabled

So now I'll go back in the garage and try 1st byte 126 to "80" and if it doesn't do anything, I'll leave 80 and also put byte 59 from "59" to "5A". If it will work all good. If not I'll revert both bytes.

So, I got back ad the car, put 126 byte at 80: nothing.
Also to changed 59 byte from 59 to 5A: again no luck...
By the way, what is the 59 byte setting about?

Now I've reverted back to "last good known config" with byte 126 = 00 and byte 59 = 59

byte 59 should determine key fob type.
as for byte 126 values "A0" and "80" both can be used. just "A0" disables after-wipe. it could be that something is still missing to make Panic mode work.

I think I got the issue: to have panic to work you need a proper brand new keyfob from Alfa, not a Chinese one and not one coming from USA that has been previously reset.
Mine is exactly a reset one coming from USA.

To enable PANIC feature on some cars is also necessary edit Byte 70 to actual value +04 (00 to 04 or 40 to 44 etc...)
Of course with Byte 126=80

But Key FOB type needs to be set to 5bttn type so Byte 59=5B in your case...
