Hi, I wanted to know how to reset the service of fiat stilo 1.9 jtd 2003.I state that I have an ELM327 compatible cable (with PIC and FTDI chip inside) that is easily recognized.I modified the cable with the union pins 1-7-9, and I OK connect to the engine control units, ABS, steering. When I try to connect to the service, with baud rate of 9600, the program gives me connection timeout error. If i increase the baud rate to 38400, the program returns me error ELM327-> ECU not connect, check the cable.
Can someone help me solve this problem? Thank you all.

Hi,
The problem seems to be in the ELM interface. It is either old version or faulty.

As you know, I have exactly the same problem.
Which ELM interface is recommended? If I search in the net, I get a lot of Chinese products.. but I still have 2 and don't want to spend more money to Chinese stuff.
Can you recommend a payable one?
Regards
Kay

Hi Yani, thx for your job, my interface is the second picture in the section "How to use" the green and blue.
I was recognized as ELM327 v1.3. Do you have other suggestions?

Your interface is probably faulty.
My interface (from that picture) is also faulty. It has a proper ELM 1.3a inside, but cannot connect to CAN. Another user with the same interface and the same problem reported that he has fixed his interface by changing 2 capacitors inside.
Just try with another ELM interface.
