Hello,
Can someone please help me? I did a full verhicle service for my Fiat 500 2018. Now I really want to reset the service interval.
I bought Multiecuscan, a ELM adapter special modified for Multiecuscan and the coloured cables (red, green, yellow).
I can't connect the ECU / Service to Multiecuscan because I have this differtent error messages:
1. Connection Failed - Data file corrupted. Check your cable and serial port settings.
2. Connection Faild - No acces COM3. Check your cable and serial port settings.
3. Connection Faild - ELM327 -> ECU Connection failed.
What am I doing wrong?! Can someone please help me?
Thank you very much.
Regards from the Netherlands,
EriksonErik

Today I tried a lot of things... but still no connection between Multiecuscan and my car. The car if from August 2018. Is it possible, that I have a SGW firewall? Or am I doing something wrong?
I have checked everything. The thing that I can acces without problems is: Can Setup / Proxi Allignment Procedure. I can also do a vehicle diagnostic report and
if I scan for interface in Multiecuscan, I see: ELM 327 1.3/1.4/1.4b/2.1 interface found at port COM3, speed 38400bps
This interface is compatible with ELM 327 1.4! Should connect properly with all CAN modules.
Am I doing something wrong?

If you have SGW then it will/should be listed when you first start MES and in scans for modules.
You may have ones of the notoriously bad ELM cloned devices that do not work correctly. Did you get it from one of the Approved Suppliers?

Thank you very much. I did a full scan and I didn't see anything that says SGW. So I think I don't have firewall in this car. Thank you.
I bought a new cable (from a approved supplier) and I've got the same error code: Connection Failed. Data file corrupted...
What else can I do?

Use the Send Report function (lower right next to multiecuscan legend) and then Email MES Support.

I did a full removal and now Multiecuscan works great. The only problem that I have left is now when I want to enter
something with my yellow cable is that I get the error message:
''ELM327 -> ECU Connection Failed. CAN bus error. Check if interface is properly connected to verhicle and correct
verhicle / module selected!''
I have bought two yellow cables and two ELM327 interfaces for Multiecuscan and both don't work. Both interfaces and cables respond properly to all ELM commands in ''Test''. But I cannot connect to anything on the CAN bus.
I have read somewhere on this forum, that it is possible, that I have to remove a resistor. Could someone please tell me which resistor I have to remove? Because my mainboard looks different then one in the topic.
