Fiat Stilo 1.9 JTD 2006 NO connection !?

He everyone! I have a question, will this new 2.1 version work with KL interface in Stilo 1.9 jtd made in 2006 year. If not, I see this
What to expect in next releases:
- Support for ECUs connected to CAN network
- Support for Bosch Motronic Me3.1
- Support for Grande Punto
So, does it mean that new version of FiatECU scan will work with any HEX-COM-CAN for VAG, VCDS or something like that called (even older versions like 504.1, because I have schematic and hex for it,and I'm not sure quite, maybe I have those all so for 805 version ) interface for VAG ?
I tried KL with v2.1 but no communication. so it's probably CAN protocol being used? Maybe some stilo 2006 1,9jtd owners to confirm this ???
Thanks

just few basic infos about software and interfaces:
1. Multiecuscan (software) is a diagnostic tool for Fiat, Alfa and Lancia vehicles.
to use the software
2. you need to have a k-line (VagCom - also known as VAG COM 409.1) or ELM 327 v1.3 (or later) interface cable in order to use this program.
I don’t think that your HAX CAN interface can help you with this software!

Yes, i know that, it is for Fiat, Alfa Romeo and Lancia and I know that works with KL and ELM327 1.3+, but that is until today including v2.1 options and that is not working with Fiat Stilo 2006, but normaly working on Stilo 2002 and I don't have "problem" with that.
I asked for
next releases, on home page it say>
What to expect in next releases:
- Support for ECUs connected to CAN network ...
So if next release of software support CAN why shouldn't support CAN via. hex+CAN interface, or it is going to be supported just CAN over ELM327 interface ?!?
But as I see you are like me, end user of this software, and You probably can't know the answer what to expect in future. ( i razumeli bi smo se i bez engleskog

)
-I think that yani could answer on my question... ? yani, are U here ?

Hi,
Currently the program supports only the following 2 interfaces:
- old VagCom interface (which is actually a simple K-line interface)
- ELM 327 v1.3 interface
You can connect to the CAN network with the ELM 327 interface.
I don't have any documentation of this HEX+CAN interface, and I haven't seen it publicly available on the internet. So, there is simply no way to support it.
There are actually a lot of interfaces which can connect to the CAN network, but I cannot support all of them. ELM 327 is cheap and widely available.

The program supports ELM 327 V1.5 interface ???

The original manufacturer of the ELM interface (
http://www.elmelectronics.com/ ) does not have version 1.5 yet.
As far as I know the chinese ELM 327 v1.5 interfaces have ELM 327 v1.3 software inside. So, the program should work with them.
The problem with these chinese units is the low quality. A lot of them are faulty.
And do not ask me to recommend a supplier. I can't.

Thanks yani, that is exact info I was looking for. So, CAN via elm chip. I will build a interface based on ELM327 by my own, it's not a problem at all.

Then, it is better to use ELM 1.4 IC. It has better support for some older protocols and a better support for CAN.
I don't have support for these additional features yet, but I will soon.

Hi Yani
I red somewhere that in a ELM327 v1.3a interface you can upgrade it just change the chip.
So tell me if you know that, if I have an ELM327 v1.3a interface and I will change it with a ELM327 v1.4 chip, I can upgrade this interface?
Ok, any ideea will be helpfull.
thanks
