VIN mismatch / missing on a Renegade

Hello,
I have a Jeep Renegade 1.8L of the 2016.
I changed the ABS control unit and then did the proxy alignment procedure, odometer indicator is not blinking now, but I have a problem: DTC C1261-05 (VIN mismatch/missing) is present in ABS module, so indicator light is ON.
The question I have is: can I write VIN using Multiecuscan?, there is another way to solve that DTC?
Thanks

I'm not sure even the official Fiat dealer kit (WiTech) with full subscription can reprogram / change a VIN number in any of the vehicles coded devices. I hope I'm wrong!
It is my understanding the all control units (with VIN encoding) are Virgin/blank when the car is produced. At some point in the production all the virgin units register with the body computer (and possibly with each other) and from that point on they are irrevocably coded into the system. You can purchase from Fiat say a new virgin ABS unit and this can be coded into the system but using an ABS unit from another vehicle is not going to work.
When you see the prices of spares and dealers costs you can come to your own conclusion as to why it is no longer possible to change/exchange some electronic vehicle components/systems when unit fail.

OK,
I will buy a "one day subscription" for Witech and will try to do that!
Thanks

One time on Giulia I had to replace steering rack with used one and VIN was from other car so dealer was able to change it to right one.
If VIN on used ABS unit can't be changed by dealer then you'll have to find someone who can virginize your used ABS unit and then write your VIN by dealer.

Is it possible to change VIN number in ACC (front radar unit) module? My dealer cant do this with WiTech... But dealers, they are all amateurs!
Is there anybody who can? Or who can tell me how to do it?
Thanx a lot!
