Running diagnosis "on the table"

Hello,
I am trying to Retrofit Abarth xenon light to my 500e. I have the wiring diagram, also bought the sensors etc. I connected everything on the table to a laboratory power supply, and wanted to calibrate, or just read the values from the sensor. My question is if it is possible to connect with the lamp via the k line without connecting the wiring to the car. I have a separate obd port, connected to same power supply (pin 16 - 12v, 4,5 - gnd, and k line connected from the lamps to pin 7 of my cable) I am using multiecuscan 4.3 and simple kkl cable. Should there be something more connected, or it is just impossible to run diagnosis without the car connected?
