Multiecuscan (MES) connects to my cars ECU without a problem, but when I attempt to monitor/graph live engine data I get the "Latency Too High" error message and a short time later the connection to the ECU is lost. The connection time is intermittent sometimes several minutes sometimes only 10-20seconds. Looks like the more parmeters I monitor the quicker the connection is lost. I've followed advice in the MES manual and set my COM port latency accordingly and tried the "High Latency Mode" but this does not make a difference. Have also tried a "faster" Laptop.
I note the "Latency Too High" symptoms are seen by various people on the Multiecuscan Forum. Do you think this is an issue/bug in the MES software or a problem with my Laptop/computer or ECU not respoinding to OBD messages quickly enough?
MES: v3.9.1 (Registered) with Gendan supplied USB to VAG/KKL cable
Vehicle: Alfa Romeo Spider 1998 2.0 TS - Motronic M1.5.5
Laptop: Problem occurs with two different models (both run Windows 7)
