Fiat Bravo rain sensor not working

Hello,

I installed a rain sensor in my Fiat Bravo '07, because the windshield needed replacement. The cable was already present. In Multiecuscan (MES) I set the dusk and rain sensor to 'present' and performed a proxi alignement. However, the auto wiper function doesn't work.

Is there something I forgot? Unlike other functions, the only choices are 'present' and 'not present' instead of 'enable' and 'disable'.

One addition: when I disconnect the cable from the rain sensor, the car gives an error that the automatic wipers are not available. However, both with cable connected and disconnected it keeps using the interval setting.
