Hello,
I am driving a Fiat Marea Weekend 185 1.6 100 16V year 1998 First registration 2/1998 1581 ccm 76KW 103 Ps.
At the moment I have problems with the airbag system (airbag warning light is lit permanently). And now I would like to go to the trouble-shooting myself.
What software version do I need to read the error memory and delete it?
Which interface and adapter cable I need for it.
The Fiat has a 3 pin diagnostic connector under the glove compartment on the passenger side.
I'm not sure which components I really need.
But, I have already downloaded the free Multiecuscan version 3.4.
I would like to read this with my laptop, which has a Windows 10 operating system.
Maybe somebody knows about you.
Greeting Mike

Please check for your Marea here: http://www.multiecuscan.net/SupportedVehiclesList.aspx

Looks like, with a little bit of luck (2 out of 3 chance) the free version of the latest MES will work.

You will need a KKL (cheapest) interface and a Fiat 3 pin adapter cable.

The 3 pin connector under your dash could be for the engine ECU or the Airbag ECU. If this connector has a yellow cable sheath then it is definitely the airbag test point. If not then just plug in and try connecting to the engine ECU and the Airbag ECU. You will soon find out.

Hello,
The 3-pin interface under the glove compartment is for reading the airbag control unit.
I have an interface of
EXZA® 3pin OBD2 KKL VAG 409.1 for Fiat USB Diagnostic Interface Alfa
Of EXZA
Protection circuit.
FTDI chip installed.
Operating system: Windows Vista / 7 32bit / 64bit
For older vehicles built in 1990 - approx. 1995 an OBD adapter is needed.
These control units are currently available for the Multiecuscan software:

Position 1 = engine ECU (read / clear engine faults)
Position 2 = AirBag ECU (read / clear airbag faults)
Position 3 = ABS ECU (read / clear break faults)
Position 4 = ESP ECU (red / clear stability faults)
And to do so
EXZA® Fiat 3 pin on OBD 2 16 pin adapter OBD connector Fiat Lancia Alfa
Of EXZA
And for all cases I still have the
Adapter A1 + A2 + A3 for Multiecuscan Fiatecuscan Fiat Alfa Romeo Lancia OBD II 2 concerned.
I hope I can get something with it.
