Im having to replace the body computer on my fiat stilo 1.4 (2004) and got advised that I would need to do a proxy-alignment.

If i bought the software which cable would I need to do the alignment as there are quite a few different types ?

For proxy alignment you need MES and ELM cable. ELM can do the job...

Before you buy yourself used body computer you must know some things:
- some other body computers models do not work very well with your stilo...
Most of them are just fine but few of them do not work (for example body comp. from 2000 and from 2007 are not 100% the same)...
- sometimes diesel and petrol models are not 100% same...
- If you buy used one you need to reprogram it. Reprogramming you can not do with MES or other diagnostic software... You need special programmer for that job...
