Multiecuscan

Hi, iam having a problem with my CANtieCAR interface, went to use it today and it's not connecting to the software (not seeing it), also I cannot see it listed on the devices screen, I've tried a new usb lead
And also tried on another computer, the green light comes on, cannot understand it as I used it 3 days ago and no problem, some help please as I have a few fiats booked in.

Your sd card could be faulty on ctc interface. ( the internal sd card could have been corrupted if its not disconnected from pc properly )

I removed the card today and inserted into a sd card adapter and managed to read all the files on it, I also checked for viruses, all ok, so I think there must be a hardware fault, also when plugged into a obd port the Bluetooth light doesn't light up, I'll have to purchase another interface by the looks of it. Can the licence be transferred to a new interface.

Ive had cantiecar for long time it worked great until i done an update firmware to RC candidate it failed costant green light nothing else conntacted support the problem was sd card all files that were on sd card were all fine I replaced sd card then updated to latest firmware and all back working again.

Ok, I'll purchase a new sd card and try that first, what about the licence details, I assume they are on the card somewhere, I've downloaded the updated files from cantie ready, thanks for your help.

You shoul be able to use your key you got with multiecuscan software I think your licence is paired with ctc interface serial no.

I've purchased a new sd card, formatted and copied required files onto it, but still not showing as a drive when connected, so iam resigned to the fact the interface is faulty, so I'll have to purchase a elm interface for the time being as I cannot afford the €190 for the upgrade interface at the moment.

Try pressing service button on ctc interface ie hold button and connect to pc usb 2 port that should put it in loopback mode.

have a look at the flow chart on cantiecar web site it shows you how it works..

Bri, I've tried holding button in and connecting to usb as per cantie flow chart, still no success, iam going to go over circuit board with a magnifying glass to check board for dry solder joints as a last resort, in the short term I 'll have to purchase a lead kit from gendan, not sure if that will work with the multiplexed edition or whether I'll have to purchase another licence. Arh!

You will not be able to use your licence as its the multiplex version you have you could conntact support and explain your problem they may be able to help.
