Hi! I've a Fiat Panda 1.3 multijet 2010. I've a problem: I bought a chinese elm 327 to connect with my car. Using Torque I can see some parameters such as oil temperature, water temperature ecc but when I'm trying to connect with the car using MES it gives me the error:
ELM327 -> ECU connection failed
I tryed "Test" function in Settings and it's ok, the message is: "This interface is compatible with ELM 327 1.4! Should connect properly with all CAN modules". I thought that the problem is the resistence between the pins but you can read on Multiecuscan.net that for my Panda is not required to have an "ELM C19" and "ELM" is enough:

Re: Can't connect with my Fiat Panda
Hello
The connection problem is the ELM Interface
Either it has the disturbing Resistor on the board
or
It has the wrong software on the Pic (v2.1)
press the test button in Settings / interfaces and set the screen here
For Resistor you will find everything necessary
