Hi
I am new on here and on multiecuscan (registered) .I have an elm 327 interface and the coloured adapter plugs, all works well with either elm alone or with yellow adaper cable until I try connecting to the Delphi steering and I get no connection check lead message.
Am I doing something wrong? Or is it an elm issue possibly?
Thanks in advance
Steve

Hi,

Did you tried to Electric Steering without adapters?
Only PC and ELM?
It should work only with PC and ELM (no adapters)... ;)

Direct should work!
When I am replacing steering angle sensor on Fiats I do not use any adapter. Direct connection from PC via ELM to OBD connector.
Mito should have more-less same electric steering system so it should work directly (no adapters)... ;)

Hi, I have just tried again and no joy! The lead connects fine on engine, abs, can, body etc but unfortunately nothing on electric steering. I just get ECU connecting error? It has steering angle sensor fault showing so I need to get connected somehow could it be able he elm?
I am now not sure what it might be ?
Thanks Steve

Strange! Very strange!
You should have Delphi Electric Steering 2 just like Punto Evo has or some models of Grande Punto.
On models like Grande Punto I have succeeded to connect on to electric steering system and do a reading and erasing the errors and calibration of sensor.

According to MES vehicle list which you can find on: http://www.multiecuscan.net/SupportedVehiclesList.aspx you should do it only with ELM interface.
