Hi,
I have read this forum and try to find a solution of my problem but without success. I have bought Alfa Romeo 159 2,4 (2008), airbag red warning light is on. I have modified ELM327 and I'm able to connect to almost all ECUs with FES. I entered airbag ECU, general information about hardware, software, date etc. are visible, but I can't see any faults. Additionaly next actual information (battery voltage,...) aren't visible too.
I'm able to see ECU phisicaly, it's TRW 50510957, D219. Connectors seems to be connected properly.
Where could be source of my problem?

Can't you see any faults or MES (FES?) detected "No fault codes"? What are your version?

Hi, I do not know exact version, but it is some new one. There are no faults. I tried AlfaOBD free and it is same. But red light is still on...

Strange, very strange...

If "no faults", so there are no faults! I do not really imagine. This light was always on?

Hello Mathees

I do not know the circuit diagram of the airbag on the Alfa 159 unfortunately.
But in other (older) Alfas the light is again in addition to a
12V line and a fuse protected.

So controller and light have seperate fuses

Check times the fuses

And another attempt to deactivate the passenger airbag on the lock on the
nearside

Then light the second warning light ??

I believe that the warning light on your car behave as in mine (Marea) and others: to turn key on the light comes on and goes off in a few seconds (if no failures). If there are failures, turns on again immediately. OK, you realize that blink or light stays on constantly? In this case, it could be a bad connection on dashboard, maybe...

Hi all,I have just done tests, which you adviced me.
So, when I insert key, airbag light illuminates and stay on. Then key was removed light go off, the key was inserted again and same situation. No blinking.
When I deactivate passenger airbag, yellow light was NOT shining on the roof.
Fuses were checked.
It is very strange and frustrating for me.

Hello Matees

How? So if you are the passenger airbag is not lit by disabling the yellow light? !!!

This should make it but !!!

So I do think that something is not right with the power supply.
Have you really checked all the fuses ??

Unfortunately I do not have the schematic from the airbag of the Alfa 159 and can not give you Council where you should looking for.
