hello,
I speak french and i can not find anyone to help me in french forum !
my pb it's the battery indicator remains lit continuously on the dashboard for about 10 months: at this time my alternator dropped me (on alfa 159 1.9l 2007), I replaced it and the battery.
I have FiatECUScan 3.6 interface and an elm, I connect to all ecu and no error code!

What is the proxy alignment, it is necessary that I do so following the change alternator?

excuse me for my English ..

Hello max232

The proxy is Aligment notification of all components to the CAN bus system
Your alternator is not connected to the system.
But the scoreboard already

Therefore, I would just make a proxy alignment times and see what happens
You can do nothing wrong

Greetings Eddy

Have yo take the voltage of your battery all off / engine at idle / engine a 2000-2500 rpm ?

Can you post values ?

You alternator is brand new ? standard exchange from Alfa / Others `?

Hello echappatte

You have the same Problem ????

The charging voltage should be 13.8 to 14.5 volts

Greetings Eddy

Hello Alfaeddy,

No charging is fine on my Punto :)

It is just to help, to see if there is a problem with the new alternator or if the error light is wrong...

hello,
thank you for your answer:
the alternator is not original, bought on ebay.
voltage at idle is more than 14V but I'll recheck.
I'll try the proxy alignment and you keep informed.
thank you.
