Hello,

Could you tell me if I can use the 1.8 release on a 500L 1.6 multijet 16V 105HP ?

Thanks in advance & best regards

Me again,

Today, I connected the 1.8 release (free) to my engine (I selected Doblo type 263 1.6 multijet 16v). Of course, my engine ISO code is unknown/unsupported as it is a 500L, but at least I can scan the engine, ABS and electric steering ISO codes, and enter the engine info screen. I (still) have no A3 cable so I can not test the CAN info, and only a free version so I can not access further the ECU, but although the engine ISO code is unknown, the program is proposing to continue.

I wonder if at least the engine and service errors and adjustments can be operated safely with an unknown ISO code ??

Any advice about that ?

Regards,

Hello

Have you pressed F11 (scan)?
Then the existing controller is searched

If a control, you're in the right so that any control
find a different Fiat

Hi Eddy,

Yes, I pressed F11, and I could scan. The program gave me the ISO codes for the engine, the ABS and the electric steering. But these ISO codes are stated "unknown/unsupported" as the ECU for 1.6 multijet 16V is OK, but 500L is not listed in the vehicles.

What I don't know : can I operate the functions of the program even if the ISO code is unknown ? (example : if you select the correct engine, but from a wrong model of car, does it works ?).

Regards & merry christmas,
Francois

Hello Francois

If you join the same ECU control the Doblo,
If then on the Info page, bottom turn red "false ISO code"?

If this is displayed?, It can be executed properly be that not all functions. But error codes and parameters can be correct.
But need not be correct

When the connection page (info) but no "incorrect ISO code" is displayed
up the connection correctly and all functions work properly.

Greetings Eddy

Hi Eddy,

I can access the ECU, because it is similar to the Doblo, but "incorrect ISO code" is displayed at the bottom of the info page.

I think I will wait a little bit that Yani kindly add the 500L 1.6 to the list of vehicles, then I will purchase a license. This is the safe way.

Regards & happy new year,
Francois

Hi Francois

What control does your Fiat 500 1.6?
I mean what is displayed?

The Doblo is the Bosch EDC16 C39 CF5? correkt ?

The Fiat 500 I think but the EDC 17? correct?

The EDC 17 is read by AlfaOBD!

Greetings Eddy
