KKL interfaces: "The operation timed out"

Hi,
I have two KKL interfaces, which out of the blue during usage stopped working. The "Interface Test" button in the settings just gives me "The operation timed out" now on both interfaces.

It's not the car as a WiFi Elm327 works fine there, it's not just MES either but all applications which use a KKL interface, so I guess that this is somehow driver related.

I'm on Windows 7 64bit, and my setup used to work perfectly.

Did this happen to anyone else, and if so, were you able to fix this?

Thanks

When you open MES>Settings>Interfaces how many interfaces you see there (one or more - wifi elm and ?)?
Maybe your com port is lost so you need to set up com port again.
Try to use same usb post for all mes interfaces (elm, vag, ect.).

Hi,
I'm bummed out to report that this still doesn't work to this day.

I've tried Windows 7, as well as fresh installations of Windows Vista, Windows 8 and Windows XP, all set up properly. None work, all give me "The operation timed out".

I've tried everything and about every FTDI driver available, and every setting.

Maybe something is wrong with the registry that prevents this from working properly?

I just bought a kkl and have had similar problems

I'm on win 7 and tried 4 different drivers

all install when I plug in usb

I had everything on mes telling me that there was no com port (even though it shows it in windows and mes)

to timing out when trying to connect

even had it saying ok on test then not finding any ecu

mine says timed out when its not connected to car.

I bought a new lead and it worked fine straight away on latest drivers (installed drivers, with no lead, plugged lead into car, turned on ignition then put usb in, started mes)

maybe just faulty leads ?
