Giulietta 1750 turbo Benzina Service reset
Posted: 09 Jul 2013, 09:58
Hello, and thanks to those who post on this forum.
I found something interesting that may help someone in the future. (Hope it hasn't already been mentioned?)
While trying to reset the engine oil change light, and flashing red oil can light on a 2011 Giulietta 1750 turbo Benzina. I noticed the service information would update on the vehicles dash display, however, the change engine oil warning and flashing light remains. (I also get a failed message while trying to update the NEXT SERVICE RESET)
I have read on the Diesel models the engine ECU must also be updated. There is no provision to update the 1.8 JTS TB 16 engine module, however, if you:
1)select the 2.0 Multijet 16 (Diesel) engine computer
2)then select "Y" to continue when you see the "Invalid ISO CODE" message.
3)Select adjustments (F7)
4)Select oil change (only for versions with DPF) select execute.
5)warning for oil change and flashing oil red oil can extinguished.
Hope this saves someone some time. Cheers guys.
