Hi all
I'm having problems trying to use a registered version of Multiecuscan with an Alfa159.I have a ELM 327 v1.5 USB interface and cable (Ebay item 121121952405) and the latest drivers are installed on my PC (Windows 7, 1.7GHz processor) . The software port test reports all ok but I still get the "latency too high" message and the software just will not connect to the ECU at all. Do I tick the High Latency checkbox or not (I have tried both options). I've tried playing around with baud rates as well, but no luck.
Any ideas guys??
ELM327 v1.5 Latency too high
Re: ELM327 v1.5 Latency too high
Hello
With the hook in "high latency mode" you have tested!
the current driver you have tried!
However, the latency time is too high
I would suspect that your ELM interface has to slow speed.
Do you have the possibility with another laptop to try again?
Depending on the engine should be a 20 min. be connecting to.
Even with a free version MES
Greetings Eddy
Edit:
Test this driver

Re: ELM327 v1.5 Latency too high
I had the same problem.
Follow the section on setting up the interface in the user guide. There is a latency timer setting in the advanced tab of the device manager for the interface, reduce this to 1m/sec.
Good luck.

Re: ELM327 v1.5 Latency too high
Hi Guys
I have the latest drivers installed and I have the latency set to 1 in the windows port settings.
I have left the setup for over 30mins with no change. The software is the full registered version. I think my only recourse is to consign my ELM327 interface to the bin, as I suspect some of the pins are loose, and start again with one that I know is good (ie NOT a nasty chinese rubbish copy).
I'll try again in a week as I'm off on holiday now (much needed!)
Thanks for the suggestions though

Hello Sloucher
I wish you a great holiday
To your ECU you should certainly be able to connect
For service, CAN setup, body, etc., it may be at the interface.
Greetings Eddy
