Hello Mariano

Sorry for the stupid question!
But, you've reconnected your adapter on the ECU?

Greetings Eddy

Yes, the interface was connected to the appropriate connector of my car (i use KKL and 3-pin adapter), and the key is in RUN position.
I also connect positive and negative cable to the battery of the car.
I try also with motor in run.

My car (fiat marea 105jtd) has 3 connetors: one for the ABS (near the fuse box), one for the engine ECU (near the timing belt) and one for airbag inside the cokpit (on the passenger side)

The interface works very well with the ABS unit, but it doesn't see motor ecu.

Also if i try with the test (in the option menu) it works fine with abs ecu and it have no response with motor ecu.

I didn't try airbag unit.

What i can try?

I retry today with my laptop with windows 7 (first time i try with a netbook with windows 8) and it's the same: no problem to dialog with ABS ECU but it didn't works with motor ecu.

With this PC the FTDI drivers doesn't works (when i try to connect with multiecuscan, it say that can't access to the com port that is correct), so i try with the drivers that windows install automatically and the cable works with ABS but don't works with motor.

When i try the TEST INTERFACE, it say every time this:
VagCom/KKL

Testing latency with 200 bytes of data...
Min latency: 1
Max latency: 7

Testing timers...
(The acceptable tolerance for results is ~5 ms)

System supports high resolution timer.

Testing timer with 1000 ms...
..result: 1000 ms

Testing timer with 250 ms...
Timeout operazione. <<< WHY I HAVE THIS ERROR??

Hallo Mariano

I can not say you do not why it works when ABS
but when the connection to the ECU not!

If "false comport" appears needs to change something in the settings

Try again, everything plugging, ignition and again check the COM port!

I know otherwise no advice, sorry

Greetings Eddy

Try to clear the bird in the "high latency mode"
Settings-Interface-Delays
I had the same ABS ECU OK NO

Hi!
I try to connect again my fiat marea to multiecuscan with my kkl cable.

I try with many settings of the COM port (latency and bits per second) but the result is the same:

No problem to connect with ABS, AIRBAG and also clima (the program says that it is the port of the clima, but the software can't manage it)...
...no ECU response when i try to connect to the motor.

I try also to connect when the motor is in run or to connect few seconds after i turn the key to MAR position, and also to turn motor run, then turn OFF and then turn the key to MAR, so try to connect.

It can be a problem of the K-line of the motor ECU? Where i can find the beginning of this cable to try so connect at the beginning to exclude a problem of the wire??

I think that the wire onf the k-line of the motor is ok because when i use the TEST of the KKL it works with ecu-motor, and it doesn't works if i disconnect the cable, so i think that the interface see something...

I try also with another PC.
The cable works only with CH340 drivers (the same that the seller send to me with the cable), it doesn't works with FTDI.

No problem to connect with AIRBAG and ABS...

...but for the first time i've been connected to the engine ECU! Only one time, next i can't connect again (i try again for more than 15 times).

Also with this PC i have timeout in the test of the 250ms...

Problem solved!!!

I buy a new cable (this time an ELM327 v 1.5, from ebay) and it works perfectly!
So the problem was only the cable, not my car!
