Issue with brazilian Fiat

Hi,
I have a "Made in Brazil" Fiat, a Fiat Uno which uses a 1000cc Fire Engine (year model 2007). The injection used is a Magneti Marelli IAW 4AFB (The "B" is something about "Brazillian", I think).
I got a chinese ELM 327 V1.4 bluetooth adapter. Exactly this: http://dx.com/p/elm327-mini-bluetooth-v ... 12v-160462
I've connected it with my Windows 7 laptop. I waited for windows search and install all required drivers and everything seems to be fine. So, I've opened MultiECU scan and went to "settings". There I got me adapter recognized as a V1.4 (the chinese said it is a 1.5...) which should work with all ECU models. The "test" function shows everything ok
"This interface is compatible with ELM 327 1.4! Should connect properly with all CAN modules."
I've selected a similar vehicle on MultiECU list, a 1242cc Fiorino which uses the same ECU as my Uno. So I tried to connect and got some different errors:
- ECU connection failed! Check your cable and port settings
- Connection Timeout .... (I don't remamber more)
- Can't connect with COM7 port... (Which I solved with a computer restart)
- Semaphore problem... (Which I solved with a adapter turning off and on).
The most persistent error is the first one.
Since my car doesn't have a CAN system, I don't think that removing the R04 resistor would solve something. I just want to connect with my Engine.
Do you have some hint about what's going on?
