Hello All,

I have a Fiat Grande Punto and I have ordered both the cables and software bundle yesterday. The problem I have is that I installed a new instrument cluster and it is showing CAN bus errors U1700 and U1701. Basically everything works on the new instrument clusters except the MPH cluster it jumps into life when I turn the car on but then just sits at 0 MPH.

Will I be able to clear both U1700 and U1701 error codes to enable the MPH cluster to begin to communicatethe way it should normally?

Have you done Proxy?

Yes mate did a proxy, and I am still left with U codes 1700 1701.

These error codes mean that there is a communication problem between engine, body computer and instrument cluster.
The problem may not be in the cluster, but rather in bad connection on the CAN lines. Did you try to put back the old cluster and see if it works?
