Not sure if this is a MES bug in reporting the airbag ecu date or an invalid date in the ecu? It is being shown as ECU programming date: 18/06/2018

My guess is that the main airbag ECU unit has been reprogrammed.
Probably car had some kind of accident and airbag ECU has been reprogrammed.
It does not have to be a big accident, it could be something small.

I have seen same thing as shown on photo above. Even have seen years like 2052 or 2058...

Yes, I suppose that is always possible, but in this case it is a new ECU direct from FIAT. I would of assumed it is correctly programmed from the factory, but maybe not. If the date format *is* correct for other original ecu's then maybe there is a problem with this one It maybe worth checking MES just in case. Can anyone confirm a sensible date on their original ecu?

Please send me a report (from the red Send Report button) after connecting to the airbag and I will check it.
