Windows CE cannot pair OBD-Bluetooth

Post by wafer »

Hi Yani & all,

I'm very close to place an order for a Multiecuscan license! I just need to pair my OBD-Bluetooth with FESmobile installed in WindowsCE GPS unit!

So far, I've managed to do the following: -

1) Remove 120ohm (R4) resistor in my ELM327 V1.4 OBD-Bluetooth device.
2) Able to pair & run Multiecuscan342 (free demo version) on my laptop.
3) On my 2002 Alfa 147 Selespeed, I can connect to Bosch Motronic Me7.3.1, Marelli Selespeed, CAN Info, etc. I know I need pin #7 connects to pin #1 to enable Bosch ABS5.7. I can do that later.
4) I've successfully installed FESmobile2.0 (free demo version) on my WindowsCE6.0 GPS head unit.

My problem is that FESmobile cannot pair the OBD-Bluetooth device! I've tried both sequence of with & without getting into Bluetooth pairing mode in the GPS. FESmobile just says "Bluetooth device not found"...!

Any suggestion?

It should be simple...
1. Make sure that the Bluetooth is ON in your Windows CE device. I cannot tell you how because these devices come with custom software and the interface is different in each device. Do not pair with the interface (actually most of these devices cannot pair with a serial port bluetooth device).
2. Make sure that the Bluetooth interface is powered and in range.
2. In FESmobile go to "Settings", then "Serial Port", then "Search for Bluetooth devices...". Then it should find your interface.

Hi Yani,

Thanks for quick reply!

I did exactly like what you mentioned, but "Search for Bluetooth devices" ends with "No Bluetooth Found" message!

Anything else I can try!?

Hi Yani,

BTW, I notice that FESmobile doesn not support K-Line cable! Any reason?

I have a K-Line USB cable. If FESmobile works with K-Line cable, I can at least skip the requirement of a laptop (with Multiecuscan) to diagnose my car. ;)

Hi Yani,

I have tried everything I can think of, but still cannot establish Bluetooth link. I guess I need to give up FESmobile for now!

Definitely the graphics. I managed to get into my account and disabled the graphics driver, as Terry suggested, but as soon as I re-enabled it, back to black.
What now?

Windows CE cannot pair OBD Bluetooth

When I try to connect my win 10 lap-top, with Elm327 interface via Bluetooth, I got a message "this interface requires a register version of multiecuscan"... Do I need registration version of that software, or I have samo problem with connection..?
Thank you!

Ok, there might be an issue looking for user fonts on Windows in the Text Generator module.
Its actually looking in C:WindowsFonts. Do you know where your font was installed ?
