Im new to ECUS I bought a system this week from GENDAN just installed software, all ak so far but when there is a multi choice ie for ECU and dashboard etc where do I detirmine which is the right one for me Regards T

Run the scan function. This will report back what modules the software finds on the car.
Those are the ones you can connect to.

On a Fiat 500 you may need to do that once without any adaptors connected, to get the engine, ABS and electric steering controllers, then once again with the yellow adaptor plugged in, to get out to the other systems on the car.
