I tried it on a 147 JTD, and compatibility with the manesman VDO panel is ok and I can get in diagnosis.
But with proxy alignment does not work, gives me time out error on vdo panel.
Why?

Try with a different elm327 interface, not all perform correctly, also you can try to change the usb port you connect it to your laptop and you should have a good battery on the car (before changing the battery it also failed on my car but with the new battery fully charged it works).

I know about this PROXI alignment problem in 147... It happens on some 147s.
The reason for this error is a limitation of the ELM 327 interfaces. In most of the cases using a different interface or different drivers or changing the latency settings for the interface to 1 fixes the problem.

I've ELM327 1.4 bluetooth, and I've the same problem with PROXI. (Instrument panel (NQS) - timeout error)..
After PROXI I haven't connect to "Cervice Interval Reset"...
