P0240 is a generic EOBD code, so it's not specific to Fiat / Abarth.

Oddly though, it has 2 possible definitions, probably depending on whether the car uses forced induction (turbo/supercharger) or not:

P0240 - Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor B, TC system - range / performance problem
P0240 - Turbocharger boost pressure sensor B / Supercharger boost pressure sensor B - low input

Common causes for both are intake / exhaust leaks, poor / degraded hose connections, or the sensors themselves.

Thank you.
The car is turbocharged.

Right now i don't get what "sensor B" stands for...only one is for boost pressure, so why a B sensor and not the A sensor?
that's why i asked here :)

In that car, i know there are 3 sensors measuring the air pressure.
1 for ambient pressure placed on the chassis of the ecu. (barometer)
1 for intake air pressure (reading positive and negative pressure...for vacuum)
1 for boost pressure.

the error comes in random situations....usually while driving at constant speed (like 140km/h on the highway); so i don't think it could be any leak or degraded connections because it doesn't happen when the engine load is high.

probably it's caused by the sensor..
