Fiat Stilo 1.8 with ECUScan 3.0.1

Hi Yani!

I have a Stilo 1.8, an ELM 327 1.3a and adapter cables 1-2 and 3. With the ECUScan 2.8.2, everything worked well including the xenon lamp. But with the 3.0.1 version dosen't work everything. The clima, service reset etc. work well, but the xenon lamp, engine ECU, VDC5.7, and EPS dont. The error message says : invalid elm interface. The F11 Scan finds them, but they can't be connected. Do you have any idea what the problem is?

Thanks.

Hi,

I saw your log file and there is no problem in the program. The ELM interface simply responds with ERROR.
Simply try to unplug it and then plug it back into the ODB connector. Also, turn the key off for a few seconds and then turn it back ON.

I tried it again, but didn't work. The all ECU that connect via CAN bus work well, but the all ECU that connect via pin7 dont work with ELM interface. I tried it with two different ELM intercace /1.3a and 1.4/. By the way the all ECU that connect via pin7 work with my VAG-COM interface, but the connection with engine ECU is unstable. Everything worked well with previous FES version, the my VAG-COM interface always worked excellently and stably with all FES version.

Ok, one more thing that I noticed in the logs - your battery seems to be low. Most of the ELM interfaces do not work with low power.
Try to connect when the engine is running.

There is really no way to make the ELM interface behave this way. It is definitely something electrical.

It seems the error is in my car. It isn’t communicating with ELM interface via pin7 now, but it is communicating with KKL interface. Other program isn’t working either.

Sorry for a disturb.

Thanks.

Hi Yani,

I also have problem with FES 3.0.1!
I have been testing version 3.0 on 5 different cars (Fait, Alfa, Lancia - both petrol and diesel) and everything worked just fine.
BUT with this version 3.0.1 I cannot connect to any car. I have 5 different interfaces (KKL and ELM) and none of them is working!
I have been testing my interfaces with other software’s and it worked just fine, so must be something wrong with FES ver. 3.0.1!!!
I never had problems like this... :x

Is it possible for you to in the future versions add some kind of option that I can install version 3.0 over the version 3.0.1?
Or i need to deactivate FES and ask you for the new registration key???

The only difference between 3.0 and 3.0.1 is in the licensing module. So, unless your current instalation shows UNREGISTERED then everything is working fine.
You can try to download it again from www.multiecuscan.net and reinstall.
What do you mean by "cannot connect to any car"? Do you get any error message?

You don't need to deactivate when installing different version. Just uninstall your current version (from Start menu->Multiecuscan->Uninstall Multiecuscan). And after that you can install any version. You may need to re-enter the License Key but that's all.

I could only connect with ELM327 – the expensive one and only got message "invalid ISO code"! But only connected once!

I installed the new 3.0.3 version and it is working just fine.
Only had some problems with KKL interface and Alfa 156 but after editing the settings options everything worked just fine! ;)
