hello to all, I'm a newbie , I have FES 2.7.2 + licence also have a elm 327 ver 1.4 , I got it on ebay from a UK shop, hoping to miss a clone from china,

I want to talk to the body control unit of a punto year 2000 1.2 8v. to do Proxi alignment
when I test the interface in FES, I get ok to all commands and a message that it should talk to all modules.

I get a message ELM >ecu fail to talk. Please can someone help and point me in the right direction

have connected pins 1,7,9 engine , e power steering, abs BUT have only connected to engine control unit,

when I try to connect to ECU I get message iso code incorrect,( will get iso code from ecu tomorrow) I press Y to continue and can see settings temp , bat volts, etc in ecu, activate fans and other devices.

many thanks in advance TRIANGO6

many thanks to yani and Stilos and all who posted pics about the elm mod, i used a thread by Stilos, I have the same elm. I also fitted a dip switch as in other threads.

I did proxi alignment, as mileage was flashing, I got a message that it failed, BUT turned off key had a cuppa about 10 min, when I turned key back on the flashing had stopped and all seems to be all right.

am i correct ? ?
to talk to the airbag control, I need a KKL/vag com with k-line connected to pin3, or obdkey with similer connections.

when using elm, I got message to use adapters as above.

again many thanks
