With the full version can you search for problems like on Alfadiag? I'd like to go through everything & check but can't find anything with FES that does this?

Thanks!

Hi,

Scanning various things to see if there's any problems. I see on Alfadiag you can run various test which seem to check for problems i.e run tests on injector 1/2/3/4. Or is this the same as on FES when you go into 'actuators'?

I was using the demo FES & where it says 'connect' & 'Scan' does this scan for errors also? I tried using it & it goes to 100% says done & that's it.

Sorry for not being clear.

I think you haven't managed to connect to ECU yet. since those connect & scan buttons are there to connect to the ecu. You should try to emulate some of the ecu's press Ctrl + F10 to get in emulation/simulation mode.. for "dry test"

On FES software the
'Connect' button means connect to ECU and SYSTEM that you want to connected (like ABS, AIRBAG...)
and
'Scan' button means that you can scan the all systems and all ECUs on specific car.
For example you want to connect to AIRBAG ECU on Alfa 156. In AIRBAG ECU list you have 10 different types of ECUs. So which one is it? Hmmmm... Just click on Scan button and after 30-45 seconds you will see what kind of ECUs that specific car has. You can see which ENGINE ECU, and AIRBAG ECU, and ABS ECU and other ECUs... So you do not need to guess… ;)

Thank you!

I'll also order a ELM lead so i can use all the functions.

Also, the actuators test could works fine for you.

I don't know if they are all the test possible or just some..

Anyway when you start and actuator test you can see if it succeed or not.
For others tests you could monitor some parameters and see if they are correct as it should or not.
