I've been runing FES on my old laptop but today I had it sitting ontop of the car. It vibrated off and fell to the floor completely trashing my laptop.

So I now need a new one specifically for running FES. Can anyone recommend a laptop or netbook(make and model) that will run FES. Not interested in bells and whistles just wifi access and being able to run FES.

Shady, You need a Panasonic Toughbook. Splash proof, dust proof, daylight viewable screen, can be dropped from 1 mtr. Only about £3000 :)

I've had an old CF28 (too slow for FES) for years. Used it as a wheel chock. :) Drove a car over it, no problem. Parked with 1 wheel on it, broke the screen but it still worked.

Sound like the ideal bit of kit .... but £3000 :o
I think I'll wait for this £150 ebay bargin I ordered and see how it handles FES. ;)

I can get my hands on a Toughbook CF-27 for nothing, would that run FES?

EDIT
Ok my old laptop fell off the car roof and bust so I to buy another, preferabley a cheap and cherfull one the same as my old laptop.

I purchased one off eBay for £150, turned out to be a bag of s**t so I got my money refunded(via paypal) and posted it back to the seller an hour ago.

Been looking at a few Toughbooks on ebay but I dont think the sub £200 ones will run FES. Minimum of a 1.5 Ghz processor needed I believe?

So my next question is will a Samsung N310 Netbook run FES ok?

There's loads of ex British Gas CF-27s and ex AA CF-28s about but they're both too slow for FES. CF-27 is 266 MHz and CF-28 is 800 MHz.

The Samsung N310 at 1.6 GHz should be fine.

Hi,
times can one make an announcement on whether it worked with the netbook. I have an Asus N280 Processor with FES and 2.7.2. For me, the works by the ABS and air bag does not match the read. To the ECU but I can access. Interface is modified.
Best regards
