Dash/clocks replacement and proxi alignment with FES

I have the annoying flashing odometer and I have tried proxi aligning the CANBUS using Multiecuscan.

FES fails while doing this and reports a problem in the log files that the dashboard failed to be updated.

I'm thinkingabout trying another set of clocks and proxi aligning again to see if that works. The question is where is the mileage stored? I have heard reports that doing a proxi alignment updates the dashboard with the mileage that is stored in the body computer.

Does anyone know if this is correct?

Thanks

Paul

What make/model is your car?
I guess it is 147 because the PROXI fails only on a 147 dashboard. If it is a 147 then there is no use of trying with different dashboard as it will fail again. I'm trying to fix this problem with 147 but I have no success so far. The only option is to use Examiner... or wait till I fix this problem.
The mileage is not updated by PROXI alignment function.

Thanks for the reply Yani. It is a 147 2.0 TS (UK version).

i am thinkin of buying Multiecuscan and an ELM327 cable, but just 1 question...

I have changed my dash dials, to a higher spec model, with rev counter and temp guage. But now my mileage LCD display is flashing, also mileage is wrong.

Can i use Fiat ECU Scan to proxi align my dash mileage counter on my Fiat Punto mk2 99-03?

If not, how would i go about it?

Just an update to my specific issue.

I replaced the instrument panel today, switch thje ignition on and odometer not flashing. I then tried to perform a proxi alignment but FES reported

WARNING: This vehicle is properly configured. PROXI Alignment is not needed!

So in my case the dashboard appeared to be faulty.
