hi everyone, ive just downloaded the software and bought the obd2 cable but when im in the vagcom window to test the usb it keeps telling me that the com port is ok (number 2 i chose) and that the interface cannot be found. im at the part of vagcom program options. ive gone to the device manager and the usb is saved as com port 2 but the vagcom just keeps telling me the interface hasnt been found
the instructions say that i have to test it forst and click the usb link on the program settings of vagcom but when i do that i get this message: rosstech interface not found. interface: not found. can someone please tell me what im doing wrong and if they have a step by step guide of what to do? my computer has vista installed in case anyone is wondering. many thanks and hope to have a reply soon

i would not advise you to use VAG software with FIAT/ ALFA/ LANCIA vehicles!

But if you want to connect VAG cable and VAG software to VAG vehicle just try to connect your PC and cable to the car and it should work!
