Hello Everybody
I bough this fake ELM 327 (see the picture):
WIth this interface, i can't get connection to the ECU. When i test the interfacce, all commands response OK with the exception of this command:
COMMAND: ATBI
RESPONSE: ERR94
One times i got a connections (with Fiat Ecu Scan and with Scanmaster) but normaly, i can't get any Connection and i am trying with the same properties.
Have everyone an idea what i can do to get connection ever?
best regards
Jeraldo
Sorry for my bad english...

as you already know the latest version of ELM 327 chip is 1.4 (or 1.4a)!
your interface is fake! but it does not have to be really bad fake! maybe you got version 1.3 or 1.4 which are very good!
i have few questions regarding your interface:
- when you connect you ELM 327 cable to the car and you click on TEST button what kind of message you get?
- can you list the entire message that you get here in forum?
because in this message you can see what kind of version do you have!
- which car you are trying to connect? Brand, model, year, diesel, petrol??
some ECU engines you can not connect because you need a registered version of FES!

Hi,
I bought the similar or same type (orange-blue label).
By an other thread in this forum, (
viewtopic.php?f=5&t=1493 ) I found the problem. The circuit board was different, but the problem was the same. The CanH and CanL was connected to eachother by an 120ohm resistor instead of connection to GND through RC circuit.
Here is a picture:

So, I removed the unwanted 120 resistor and installed missing R32,R33,C8,C9. Since there my cable is ok.
