Help with Key FOB

Hello,
I tried to programme a new key but it failed. So when I was doing the programming I programmed my other two keys and when it came to mey new one I got an error.
So I aborted the procedure.
I now have a problem that my keys need to be in the centre console to work. I have changed the batteries.
The fobs open and close the doors.
I aborted the programming before it started. It gave me a warning this is your last chance do you want to continue and I cancelled it.
I have checked in the "Enable FOBIK" and it recognises both original keys.
Why has this effected my keys?

Edit: I had the battery out for a while 3/4mins and I put it back in and it started without it being in the centre console. I haven't been able to replicate it again.
I have put brand new batteries in.
