Alfa Romeo GTV V6 24V 1998 - Connection issues and ISO issues

I contacted Gendan about some problems I’m having connecting to my car and some of the data recovered and they suggested I contact Multiecuscan direct but maybe someone here has the answer.
I am having a bit of difficulty with the connection, I bought a new battery for the car to see if it would help...it didn’t help!! I have to keep trying and retrying to connect, sometimes it will take a dozen goes before a successful connection for the airbag and many more for the ABS ECU.
I got connected to the Airbag ECU eventually and that was great, cleared the codes and know what needs to be fixed. It is the ABS which is proving extremely difficult, I get loads of failed connection messages but very occasionally it connects, please see attached image. This screen only stays for a few seconds, then drops me back to the connection page.
Please let me know what I am doing wrong!
