Vgate Vlinker FS USB connection issue
Posted: 14 Jan 2025, 12:58
I have just purchased a full MES package using the Vgate Vlinker FS USB for using on my 2017 Giulia (non SGW) and got it up and running last night on my fresh windows 10 laptop.
After following all the instructions and setting the coms port and speed correctly the interface test passed with no issues.
While in the Giulia system i wanted to turn off my DRL but its took quite a few attempts (20ish) to get access to the CAN proxy alignment module to make the change. I finally got in after lots of " Unstable Communication Detected" message attempts and it let me perform the change and successfully completed the proxy alignment procedure but i cannot get back in to this module again as i keep getting the same error message.
Any other module on the car is accessible as normal or with the correct coloured cable. Its only the CAN setup that throws up the error.
I have since tried the same MES 5.3 software on my latest Windows 11 laptop to rule out the machine and i still get the same error on that also. So I'm confident the machine is not at fault.
Anyone else had the same issue or can help with a fix.
I have already contacted the supplier today and after some more failed attempts this morning they have pointed me to here now.
Cheers,
