connection failure

Hello all!
I have a grandepunto 1.2 and VAG COM KKL 409.1 adapter with yellow, red and green cables. I followed the install configuration procedure based on the multiecuscan manual.
When I plugged in the device (USB to the computer/ EOBD connector to the car) The PC finds the device on the USB port, however when i try to connect to the ECU or other module the software write "connection failed". I tried with all three colored adapters the problem remains the same.
When I tried to scan modules, nothing can be found.
Can somebody help me, what can be wrong?
