But the quick'n'dirty trick presented above just works. Simply remove that 120Ω SMD resistor R04 and that's it!

Such cracked ELM327 could reset Service interval on Fiat Panda 1.2. FES roxx!

Hello to everyone, noob is here!

I've planned to buy FIAT ECU Scan, because of that I bought ELM327.
I ordered ELM327 1.5, from Singapore before 15 days. At last it comes today!
I started FES 3.0.3, and I got connection to Engine, but I wasn't able to connect to anything else!

I went to this forum, and I found that there is latest version of ELM327 1.4, and it is impossible that I bought 1.5.

I opened my ELM and I found that my device is ELM327 v.1.2.

I'm little bit confused with "dirty fix", but if I'm right, "dirty fix" not working with 1.2, right?

Can somebody tell me one more time "slowly", what I have to do to "fix" my ELM? I said slowly, because I'm not so experienced with modifications like this one.

There is a partial solution here:

And the right solution 100% works it is to change your tool or just the PIC with another one with an upgrade it firmwear ...at least 1.3, beter 1.4
Not anytime the tools like yours 1.5 are in fact 1.2, I saw 1.3 inside and 1.4
But how can I say ...you've got a bad luck.
Now you can fix it.

No you don't
This will help you to conect to ones CAN moduls.
But if you like to do proxy AligHments or to connect to other controlers you need a tool with a upgrade firmwear.

Order original ELM chip and solder to your PCB.
It is no big price and you finish your problem's.
