Cool Eddy,
one more thing.
I would need these cables in order to read all info I am looking for.
http://www.aliexpress.com/item/HK-post- ... 89225.html
If I buy this three cables, green tip goes to OBD socket in my cara, and black tip goes to elm327 bluetooth and then I would be able to read airbag?

Hello
No no no Dragonus
Your airbag control unit does not work with an ELM interface to read
whatever adapter cable you are using
It does not work
Buy you access this KKL interface and you can order on your airbag
without a red adapter cable to use
At position 3, you come to your bag

Send the seller a greeting from me
With the cantie or OBDkey interface to connect to the airbag is also possible
but they cost much more
Greetings Eddy

Hello Alfaeddy
do you maybe know something about J1850 PWM OBD2 protocol?
I have ELM327 v1.5 mini adapter like this one
and I have a problem when trying connect to the ECU on my car (Ford Focus 2001 1.4 16V)
On other cars with different protocol it works, but with J1850 PWM protocol it does not working...
I found a solution for a different model here
http://www.talkford.com/topic/194099-el ... ?p=1845018
So I wonder if somethings like that would be possible on this smaller model, or should I buy the bigger one and hope it can be repaired this way?
PS
I can't open the device because of possible money refund
First I am interested in your opinion...
If it helps PCB are soldered together, it can't be easily separated

Hello
With this protocol, unfortunately I do not know myself, sorry
I thought that this protocol is not used in Europe.
Only should the mini-ELM can read this report !
Which diagnostic software do you use?
My father has a '03 Ford Focus and this is read via KWP 2000
not on SAE J1850
Greetings Eddy

My car was manufactured in Germany.
I have the following pins on the car connector: 2,4,5,7,10,13,16
PWM Protocol uses 2 (data), 5 (ground), 10 (data), 16 (power)
My friend can connect to my car with his diagnostic tool, and read it through the PWM protocol.
I tried a lot of software on my android smartphone, and on pc i tried with scanmaster, multiecuscan, scantool.net...
This adapter works great with my second car, but it doesn't want to work on ford.
I'll try to buy another adapter and see if it works.

Hello
What is your second car?
I think the fault lies more in the software than on the Ford
Could you ever read the Focus with ScanMaster or scan tool?
Greetings Eddy

Opel Astra is second car.
I found that many of these devices are based on the same, incorrect, PCB layout. This layout contains a mistake which means that the J1850 interface doesn't work.
They have the T5/T2 transistor tracking fault on PCB which in other models can easily be removed, but in these small adapter that is not the case.
And yes, ScanMaster can read Focus, but that was tested before with USB Diagnostics, not bluetooth..

Remove the red resistor and let this place open
it is the interface with CAN bus capable Multiecuscan
