I bought 3 pin to 16 pin cable for Fiat interface but want to use it for my Lancia Kappa 2000 5cil build 2000.
The cables are connected as follows:

3pin ---------16pin
1 to 2 ???
/
2 to 4 ???
3 to 10 ????
red to 16 ????
black to 5 ????

This seems very WRONG, can anyone help me?

Thanks very much, but the 3pin connector looks like
a | b c (|= safety brigde to prevent wring insertion)

Can you indicate what exactly a b and c is ?

Hi

i try to connect my fiat palio weekend 2001 8v 1.2 with KKL usb cable
used 2.6 and 2.3 program

when i press F11, my ECU is listed

FESLog_1102161510_FIAT PALIO 1242 BENZINA CF3.txt
ECU ISO Code: 0D 07 13 80 7C

but when i try to connect, program is wait and wait and ... stay disconnected

i try to lower latency in port settings, different values from 16 to 1, try latest driver for KKL but nothing

IC in my blue color KKL adapter is ft232bl

is there any solution ?

with respect, Peca

I saw your log file. It seems that the communication with the ECU is interrupted.
Is your computer fast enough? Do you use a power saving power profile? Do you have other running programs while using Multiecuscan?
You can try to change the "KWP 2000 Timings" in Settings and see if it will make any difference.

and ... yes, this was the problem

i try with dual core desktop and everything is ok

most beautiful thing is: cheap KKL interface and very long USB kable made vith 2 USB plug and ethernet cable between. about 7meter. work well and stable

It is possible, however u can DIY - it is very simple...

Once u dismantle/open 3pin connector u will find only two wires.
Talking about connectors under the bonnet, for ECU/ABS - I never tried the cabin one, for AirBag.
Using the Ohm meter/beeper indentify the chassis ground (GND or [-] minus on battery) - other wire is K line.

hi.
I also link up with my Fiat with 3 pin connector.
Only I have a dedicated interface, the FES program, in which the manufacturer recommends that when connected via 3 pin connector is always set to the seventh position
K line on the 7 pin or diagnoses is always the Engine, ABS, AIRBAG.
If you have an interface with muliplexer, it will switch itself. And if you have removed 3 cables in bulk, these are their colors and description - which is which.

Hi guys!

I have a Fiat Stilo 1.9 JTD 16v - 2005/3

I recently bought this cable on Ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ALFA-FIAT-ODB2-US ... 3a6327cab9

I can connect to the engine ECU and the airbag module without any problem, but I have problems when trying to connect modules of ABS/ASR and Power Steering, the FES always gives an error message - "Connection failed, no ECU response, check your cable and serial port settings!"

Already changed the port settings, as described by Yani but did not result.
I'm using a laptop dual-core 1.6GHz, Windows XP Pro SP3 and the version 2.6 of FES.

After trying several times and unable to get a connection, I decided to scan for modules...

Position 1 - FES find engine ECU - ok
Position 2 - FES find airbag module - ok
Position 3 - nothing found - X
Position 4 - nothing found - X

Can someone give me a hand, in very simple language?
I do not know if the problem is the cable or hardware / software ... need help!!!

Thanks in advance and sorry my very bad english.
