Damn... you're right!! I wasn't thinking of it!!!
Waltomatic wrote: This is one more proof that your connection is wrong (you did not think of it before). I advise you to turn it off and redo following my diagram, forgetting the Adapter Cable 1 for now. MAYBE pin 12 not necessary to read the CAN network of 500, check. If it really is not necessary, you can even use a smaller dip switch (4 way). Anyway, AFTER this connection works, we can think of an alternative. But the same right would buy a Adapter Cable 1, that NOT NEED wire connected to pin 12 in the interface.
This is adapter cable 3

My connections are exactly the same of this scheme...

I have this CAN bus switchover in 2012
as realized

The instructions are in German though, but maybe you can help the
Einbau einer Umschaltung des CAN Bus.pdf

For xenon is simply a solder to make bridge from pin 7 to 12.

Finish looked the interface like this

But it's just 7 to 12 or 7 to 7-12?

Sorry, but this is not true... you said that don't have pin 12 wire... so, they are NOT EXACTLY THE SAME...

Redo and be happy!

Why not? the pin 12 on the right of the scheme (male obd connector) is connected on 7 wire of the circuit!!

Good morning Racing!

Simply because you said there was no wire on pin 12, then I believe you had not done that part. Anyway, never mind ...

But I also checked my diagram was incomplete and could not work (in its 500 or other vehicles). Now if I command the pin 9 of the connector to the position 14 of the circuit (for example) and in this pin 14 there is signal, I need to disconnect the wire 14, so there is no interference!

So my diagram (now corrected) will work on any vehicle:

Finally it works!!!! I think that the error was the joint of pins 7, 12, 9, 1 to emulate adapter #1!! I wasn't thinking that even if I had put a switch on it, the joint had made a bridge between the pins... :P

Anyway, I've tested that the 3rd switch that change from pin 7 to pin 12 is useless on 500! I can connect on auxiliary dispositives (such can info, body computer etc) whether it was 7 to 7 , or 7 to 12.

But, I couldn't connect with xenon on my alfa 147, I think because pins 7 and 12 have to be bridged together... I'll made another try!!

Anyway, thank you so much to everybody for helping me!! ;)

hello

In this ELM all possible circuits are housed in 2 switch positions, there is no need for adapters.

Exactly, but it's not a "dip switch", it's a "change-over switch", as I said...

I did not get what you was telling me! I was thinking "I've put a switch so even if I welded them together, when is off, there's no problems!" But staring at my wires I had a brainwave!!!
