Another cheap 'Chinese clone', from eBay (UK seller, not china or HK), received 3 days ago.
It was sold as ELM 327 1.4 'with a genuine ELM chip'. :?
(For my personal information, I would really like to recognize a genuine ELM chip from a fake one)

Actually everything is working well FES wise, which makes me think it is actually an genuine ELM1.4
- NO communication problems, all ECU are recognized.(Airbag and steering not tested, pins 1-7-9 not soldered yet)
- NO problem to get access to service reset.
- NO installation problem. Just the drivers for FTDI USB to install.

On the last pic we can see the 100 Ohm resistors (R25/R26) for CAN H/L lines with associated capacitor (C14/C15)
Same combo shown by members in the last posts.

Hope it can help you to find the correct interface

Hello,

after scrolling through the previous 47 pages I did not find any user having exactly the same layout as I have bought now. It is similar to the one posted by "Franky" on page 27 (viewtopic.php?f=5&t=1493&start=260#p10022). My ELM is labelled "Autodia E327".

Can one of the pros check the layout and state if a resistor has to be removed at all?
If yes, would that be the "r04" like shown in the following posting?
viewtopic.php?f=5&t=1493&start=280#p10449

Thank you for your help!

Mark

Hello hendrikl88

I do not understand what you want?
- Which vehicle you want to read?
- This vehicle is to be read with the ELM?
- With the free version you can work from Multiecuscan
- Multiecuscan is not expensive ;)

Greetings Eddy

Hello Henrikl88

I can not translate your post, but as I understand you have a ELM 327 and can not connect? right!

Absolutely no connection or only partially?
For the service and a few other controls you need an adapter!
In your ELM 327 the resistor is often described herein has been removed. ?
Have you registered the formatted version of Multiecuscan?
Did you install the correct driver? not supplied from the CD

Greetings Eddy

Hello

I figured that your problem is a lack of adapters
You need the yellow adapter (A3)

Question time with this dealer about whether even the yellow adapter (A3)
individually has on offer.
With a nice greeting from me (Eddy)
