FAULTY ELM 327 INTERFACES DE-MYSTIFIED (READ HERE)
Re: FAULTY ELM 327 INTERFACES DE-MYSTIFIED (READ HERE)
Hi guys... so here is the thing... I have a registered version of multiecuscan and I was hoping that with the modification of the elm cable I will be able to do a proxy alignment, so i have opened my ELM327 the version is I believe 2.1 , and removed the 121ohm resistor... the thing is that before removing the resistor I was able to connect to my car - I was just able to connect to the ecu , but now my PC cannot recognize the cable at all- I receive an error that its not recognized and its not working properly ,.. Any ideas anyone ? much appreciated in advance..

Hi,
I have Fiat Punto 2012 1.3 Multijet and this board elm327 with A3 yellow cable.
I'm remove the yellow marked resistor but it can't connect to body computer, service interval reset etc. Engine, Automatic Gearbox... OK. What should I do?

Hello to all , Im new to this forum .
I have a used a ELM327 for years until i installed a android headunit in my car & using torque app to view the status of my car ... so i decided to connect the ELM327 to the OBD Port permanently , as my unit wont goes into sleep mode it will drain down my car battery if i plug it in permanently while the engine is off .
So the solution is to repin the pin 16 of my car OBD Port to a ignition switched power ... but unfortunately my mate pick the wrong wire "he picked the wire that is signal to the ignition coil rather than ignition switched +12V which is a pulse signal" thus fried the ELM327 module .
Upon opening the cover for inspection i have found the C20 Capacitor has burnt to ash so i cant see what the number on the body .
I have been search up and down on the internet for it , but the word on the capacitor are too small to be captured crisp enough to read .
Mine is a B1UWOBD V1.6 which is same as the picture below :-
Is anyone that are using the same dongle can shed a light to me as what capacitor do i need to replace my burnt one , Its the C20 one ?
Thanks .

Waltomatic wrote:Well, was the price for the small cost...

the cost for the small price?

Hello mates! I had a FTDI KKL cable that worked like a charm, but i messed it up. Bought a new KKL interface and it came with the CH340 chinese chip. After a lot of failed connection attempts i found here in the forum how to fix it, linking the 4th and 5th pins. Now MES connects do the ECU (Motronic M2.10.4), but the connection keeps droping in just few seconds.
Any tips on how to configure the CH340?
Thanks in advance.

Hi ELM327 Gurus,
this post is the longest I have ever seen. I have a single pcb layer ELM372 bluetooth V1.5 which has no parts marking.
I wonder if that part can be pimped as well for better performance. Here what I got.
Maybe you can review my photos and provide some feedback. I feel like the very end tail of the horse.
I guess I cannot post pictures

Here my data dump of my Elm327 test.
Who can explain what AT@1 means. You are sending some bytes (frames) to the Elm and check if the data bytes are reveived okay,
What are the KO frames?
