FAULTY ELM 327 INTERFACES DE-MYSTIFIED (READ HERE)
Re: FAULTY ELM 327 INTERFACES DE-MYSTIFIED (READ HERE)
Hello Marianbatu
Check times the Resistor R34, this should have 120 ohms?
Then this is the bridge resistor!
But this alone does not have to do with the display of this interface
Compatible with MES.

thank you eddy,
that was, i don't have any restistance between pin 6 and 14 but the error is the same(this elm can connect to any can module).
Can somebody recomend me a good interface for a fiat grande punto from 2005 1.3 mjet? (that blue one with switch for abs, ecu, esp, airbag is good?)
thank's

I have purchased an ELM interface, looking identical to the photo's in Marianbatu's message. It was so poorly packed that the un-marked installation disc was broken in half! I cannot get Multiecuscan to recognise it - the test function returns timeout - I have plugged it into a car! I've tried downloading the FTDI VCP drivers (Windows XP service pack 3) to no avail. The device shows in the Device Manager as "Other Devices" "USB2.0 Serial". Variously, depending on how the computer is feeling, I get an error of 'No Driver Installed' , 'Device incorrectly configured' or , 'No driver needed'! Do I assume that this is just a crap clone that won't work? Can anyone recommend a cheapish USB device that does work? pm me if that is regarded as advertising on this forum!
Thanks in advance
Ian

Hello Marianbatu
The blue (KKL interface) is not suitable for your Grandepunto
Since these interfaces are not CAN bus capable.
In usb or BT version?
http://www.ebay.de/itm/152303738760?_tr ... EBIDX%3AIT
http://www.ebay.de/itm/152303739535?_tr ... EBIDX%3AIT
So you get a connection with engine. ABS, steering and event. Selespeed.
To access other controls you need the yellow adapter

Hello. I'm trying to connect an Alfa Romeo 159 1.9 JTDm 16v through this interface:
https://electronic-fuchs.de/epages/e87b ... 0%2C1kg%29
I read that it should connect to the Engine module without an adapter. I can connect to any other module using Multiecuscan, except for the ABS module which requires the green adapter and Xenon which requires the purple adapter. It does not connect to the Engine module and as far as I'm aware, it should, no modifications or adapters needed. I measured the resistance between pins 6 and 14 with a multimeter and came out without any. What could be the problem? Any quickfix?

Hello
It is already right as it is written.
For your 159 you need with this interface
Only for ABS and Xeonon an adapter
This interface does not have a bridge resistor either
Only the green adapter
The purple adpater you do not need
You have this information from AlfaOBD?
There the adapter specification is incorrectly stated and will be in the new version of
AlfaOBD has changed.

Nevermind, it started working by itself today.
And you actually do need the purple adapter if you have Xenon lights to access the Xenon module. Just a tip if anyone sees this in the future.

Hello
This is unfortunately wrong with the purple adapter
For the 159, the Xenon control is on pin 12
And this pin 12 is only used on the green and yellow adapter.
On the purple adapter are the pins 7; 8; 11; 13 joined to pin 7
So you can read with the purple adapter no Xenon on the Alfa 159 !!!

I need to connect every possible interface. Until today I had no problem but just now with Lancia Delta '11 i have following problem and I am not sure where it is problem to my elm adjustment or something completly different:Alfaeddy wrote:Hello
That was easy
Correct R04 is the resistor
It has also been described several times
For which vehicle or control is the interface required?
This can play a role
Greeting Eddy
Car - Lancia Delta 2011 Magnetti Marelli ECU. Connected through OBD no problem but cannot start the car when ELM is connected to the car. Immo blocks the engine and cannot start the car - when ELM is disconnected no problem - car starts.
Tried another tester and also no problem - only with ELM and Multiecuscan
What is wrong?
