This has already been described many times here
In order to read the steering on the Alfa 159 has to be removed this bridge resistance.
If, yes, if the ELM is compatible with MES.

To read the ABS on Alfa 159, the resistor has no function
equals Whether inside or removed

For the ABS the green adapter.

Thanks for the reply, I know that the resistor has to be removed but I cannot see a definitive answer as to which resistor on the particular circuit board that I posted. I have had a look over it and cannot identify the bridging resistor that has been pointed out on other boards. Any chance of having a look at the pic and letting me know if you know which one it is please?

Hello pacboy

Remove the resistor R2 (121) then should the interface can also read CAN bus

But it would be great if you could previously make an interface test with Multiecuscan.
Then you can see whether this interface at all working with MES.

Hi Alfaeddy,

I tried a cable test now (before upgrade), but it stops on ATSPC ...

Hello Pacboy

Your interface test is not OK
this is not the R2 Resistor

Did you all settings set correctly?
the correct driver installed?

settings looks correct, drivers downloaded from: http://www.silabs.com/products/mcu/page ... ivers.aspx (informations from manual) ... I tried to install another drivers from this links posted here, but it had no effect ... And this is why I think it depends on the rezistor ...

or it will be better to uninstall all the drivers and instal only one? Do you have a good experiences with one of them?

Hello
If settings and drivers are correctly
then unfortunately I do not know why your test is not complete. ???

In any case, this has nothing to do with the Resistor !!!
